Description
For persons who had schizophrenia, paranoid or delusional disorder, manic episodes or manic depression, major depression, severe personality disorder, Alzheimer's or other senile disorder, alcohol abuse disorder, drug abuse disorder, mental retardation, or other serious mental or emotional disorder in the past 12 months and who ever talked to a mental health professional about their disorder, or for whom it was unknown, CMITYPEMHP reports the type of mental health professional that the person last saw. CMITYPEMHP is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of illness, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
