Description

For persons who had schizophrenia, paranoid or delusional disorder, manic episodes or manic depression, major depression, severe personality disorder, Alzheimer's or other senile disorder, or other serious mental or emotional disorder in the past 12 months, and currently receives a disability payment through a government program because of this disorder, CMISSI indicates if the payment is made through the Supplement Security Income program.

CMISSI is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of illness, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
