Description
For persons who mentioned that they had schizophrenia in the past 12 months and who were diagnosed with schizophrenia by a doctor or other health professional, CMISCHZTECH reports if the doctor or other health professional called schizophrenia by a more technical or specific name when he/she diagnosed the person with schizophrenia.
This variable is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of mental illnesses, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
