Description
For persons aged 5 and older, CMIRECODE is a recoded variable that reports the chronic mental illness status of the person. Please refer to the code tab for more detailed information on chronic mental illness status.
CMIRECODE is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of illness, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
