Description

For persons who mentioned that they had personality disorder in the past 12 months and whose doctor or health professional never gave a diagnosis of personality disorder but had ever used another technical or specific name to refer to personality disorder, CMIPERDWC reports when the doctor or health professional first used this technical or specific name to refer to the person's personality disorder.

This variable is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of mental illnesses, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
