For persons who mentioned that they had paranoid or delusional disorder in the past 12 months and who saw a doctor or other health professional for their mental disorder(s) but the health professional never gave a diagnosis of paranoid or delusional disorder, CMIPARASPEC reports if the health professional has ever given this disorder another technical or specific name.
This variable is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of mental illnesses, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
