Description
For persons who mentioned that they had any major depression in the past 12 months and whose doctor or other health professional gave a diagnosis of major depression but used another more technical or specific name to refer to their major depression disorder, CMIMAJDWHAT reports the technical or specific name that the doctor or other health professional used to refer to the person's major depression.
This variable is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of mental illnesses, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
