Description

For sample adults 18 and older who saw a doctor or other health professional in the past year and who think it is at least slightly important that health care providers understand or share their culture (CLTRLIMPT), CLTRLFREQ reports how often the person has been able to see health care providers who shared their culture. In the initial question (CLTRLIMPT), culture was defined as "race or ethnicity or gender or religion or beliefs or native language." This variable is one of a set of supplemental questions funded by the Office of Minority Health and Health Equity on the cultural competence of health care providers.
