Description
For sample persons age 12 to 21, this variable reports a categorized response for the number of cigarettes the respondent smoked on days the respondent smoked within the last 30 days.
[show more]This variable was part of a Youth Behavior Survey (YBS) conducted several months after the NHIS. The YBS was conducted to gather information on the prevalence of health behaviors among youth age 12 to 21 in order to develop programs to improve the health of young people. This variable is a recoded response from CIGSDAYMOY, which reports the number of cigarettes smoked as a continuous variable.
