Description

For sample adults age 18 and over who reported they did not currently use chewing tobacco, this variable reports responses to a question on whether the respondent used chewing tobacco "not at all" or "some days."

 

The term "chewing tobacco" was respondent defined.

Comparability

This variable is only available for 1991.

Universe

  • 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who ever used chewing tobacco 20 times and who do not chew tobacco now.
