Description

For sample persons age 18 and over, CANPROGRESS reports the person's opinion on how much progress had been made overall in the fight against cancer since 1972 (twenty years preceding the survey). Respondents could report a great deal of progress, some progress, very little progress, or no progress, or it depends on the type of cancer.

CANPROGRESS was introduced as part of the 1992 Cancer Supplement. For related variables and more information, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
