Description

For sample persons age 18 and over who have not been diagnosed with cancer (or for whom it was unknown if they had been diagnosed), CANCONCERN reports how concerned the person was about getting cancer in the future. Respondents could report very concerned, somewhat concerned, or not at all concerned.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable.

Universe

  • 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have not been diagnosed with cancer (or for whom it was unknown if they had been diagnosed with cancer).
