Description

For sample persons over age 40 who have heard of a blood stool test, have had a test, but did not know the month and year of the last test (exact date), BSTLTP reports the time period (in days, weeks, months or years) since the last blood stool test (of an unspecified type).

Users should also see BSTLNO which reports the number of units since the last blood stool test.

Comparability

Apart from minor changes in the universe, this variable has no comparability issues.

Universe

  • 1987: Half of sample persons age 40+ (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of blood stool test, have had test, and for whom the month and year of last test was unknown.
  • 1992: Half of sample persons persons age 40+ in quarters 1 and 2 and 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of blood stool test, have had test, and for whom the month and year of last test was unknown.
