For sample persons over age 40, BSTEVHRR reports whether the person ever heard of, or had a blood stool test.

A blood stool test may also be known as a hemocult.

There are no comparability issues with this variable.

1992: Half of sample persons persons age 40+ in quarters 1 and 2 and 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement).
