Description

For sample persons over age 40 who have heard of blood stool tests and have had a test with abnormal results, BSTABSURG reports whether the person had treatment or surgery after an abnormal blood stool test (unspecified type).

A blood stool test may also be known as a hemocult.

The 1987Fields Representative's Manual noted not to ask this question for non-normal blood stool tests that were self-administered, as follow-up questions were intended for medically diagnosed results.
