Description
For sample females ages 40 and older who have had a breast physical exam in the past three years because of a health problem, BREXWHYDIS reports whether the health problem that led to the exam was discharge. Other possible reasons included follow-up tests/treatment, soreness, swelling, lumps, pain, complications related to breastfeeding, or an unrelated medical problem.
BREXWHYDIS was first introduced as part of a supplement on cancer control. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
