For sample females ages 40 and older who have had a breast physical exam in the past three years, BREXTOLDHOW reports how the respondent was told about the results of her most recent breast exam: in person, by telephone, through the mail, a combination of methods, or she was never told.

BREXTOLDHOW was first introduced as part of a supplement on cancer control. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
