Description
For a selected group of sample adults age 18 and over, BEERNUM indicates how many cans, bottles, or glasses of beer the respondent drank on days that they drank beer, in the past year. For the size of each serving, see BEERSIZ.
Comparability
Apart from changes in the sampling design (see Universe tab for details), this variable is comparable over time.
Universe
1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement).
1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2 and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CACT supplement).
