Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least three other biological parents of the person's child(ren) who have been diagnosed by a doctor with cancer for which the sample person gave a valid cancer code, BCHOP3NUM reports the number of biological children the person has had with the third other parent diagnosed with cancer.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three other biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the other parent of any of their children had ever had cancer, for whom the first and second other parents mentioned were not the parents of all the respondent's children, and who gave a valid cancer code for the 3rd parent's cancer.
