Description

For sample youth age 12 to 21, ALCWDUI30D reports how many times in the past 30 days the respondent had ridden in a car driven by someone who had been drinking alcohol. Persons who had never ridden in a car driven by someone who had been drinking could report 0 times.

ALCWDUI30D was part of the 1992 Youth Risk Behavior Supplement, included in the NHIS as part data collection for the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System. Youth recorded their response to questions on paper questionnaires, which were then mailed to survey administrators.
