Description
ALCRISKTHROC is part of a series of questions that assesses sample persons age 18 and over belief whether heavy alcohol drinking increases the chances of various conditions. ALCRISKTHROC reports whether the person thought heavy drinking definitely increases, probably increases, probably does not, or definitely does not increase a person's chances of getting throat cancer.

ALCRISKTHROC was part of a supplement on Health Prevention and Disease Promotion periodically included in the NHIS which helped measure national goals towards the Health People Initiative of the U.S. Surgeon General.
