Description

For sample persons ages 18 and over who did not drink alcohol in the past two weeks, ALCNOOTH indicates whether the person's reason for not drinking in the past two or more weeks is some reason other than that the person does not socialize, dislikes drinking, is an alcoholic, thought he or she might become an alcoholic, had a drinking problem, has responsibility to his or her family, has a family member who is an alcoholic or problem drinker, medical or health reasons, religious or moral reasons, was brought up not to drink, is made sick by drinking, can't control drinking, can't afford it or alcohol costs too much, or is dieting or reported alcohol is too fattening.
