Description
For sample persons ages 18 and over who lived with at least one problem drinker or alcoholic in their first 18 years, ALC1TP indicates the time unit for how long the first problem drinker identified in RELATEALC1 lived with the person. ALC1TP should be combined with ALC1NO, which provides the number of time units for the length of time the problem drinker lived with the respondent. This question is part of the 1988 Alcohol supplement. The person could report relationships for up to five problem drinkers he or she lived with and additional relatives the person did not live with.
