For sample adults in 2002 and 2012 who had seen a practitioner for acupuncture during the past 12 months (ACUYR), and for sample children in 2012, ACUINSURE reports whether any of the costs of using acupuncture were covered by insurance.
Acupuncture was one of many alternative health modalities included in the Alternative Health Supplements.
Universe
- 2002: Sample adults age 18+ who have seen a practitioner for acupuncture during the past 12 months.
- 2012: Sample adults age 18+ and sample children between the ages of 4 and 17 who have seen a practitioner for acupuncture during the past 12 months .
