Description
For sample adults and children in 2012 whose have seen a practitioner for massage in the past 12 months, MASBOOK reports whether they bought a self-help book or other materials such as a DVD, CD, or video to learn about massage. For sample children, MASBOOK reports whether a family member bought a self-help book or other materials to learn about the sample child's use of massage.
Massage was one of many alternative health treatment modalities included in the Alternative Health Supplements.

Field representatives were advised to "feel free to offer [this definition] even if the respondent has not requested [it]."
