Description
For persons whose second reported private insurance plan covers someone outside the family roster (i.e., outside of the household), HIP2KID18OUT reports, for the second plan, the number of children age 0 to 18 who live outside the household covered by plan.
The NHIS provides data for the first two private insurance plans reported. Individuals with more than two private plans have a "2" reported for the variable HIPRIVGT2.
Universe
- 2011-2013; 2014: Persons with a private insurance plan whose policyholder is on family roster and whose plan covers a child or children living outside the household.
