Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least three other biological parents of the person's child(ren) who have been diagnosed by a doctor with cancer, OP3PARENT reports whether the third other parent with cancer is the biological parent of all of the person's children other than those with the first two other parents.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three other biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the other parent (of any of respondent's children) had cancer, for whom the first and second other parents mentioned were not the parents of all respondent's children, and for whom the third other parent mentioned was ever diagnosed with cancer and had a valid cancer code.
