Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least one other biological parent of the person's child(ren) who has been diagnosed by a doctor with cancer for which the sample person gave a valid cancer code, OP1YOB reports the year the first other parent with cancer was born.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three other biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), and for whom the first reported other parent of respondent's children was ever diagnosed with cancer and had a valid cancer code.
