Description
For sample persons with at least one reported foot problem during the past 12 months, who still have the problem and who got medical care for their foot problem during the past 12 months, and whose health insurance will pay for any part of this care, PODSTGOWOIN indicates whether the person would have gotten medical care for his or her foot problem if his or her insurance had not paid for said care.
PODSTGOWOIN is part of the NHIS Podiatry Supplement, introduced in 1990. The purpose of this supplement is to obtain current data concerning problems with the feet, access to foot care, and the amount, frequency, and type of foot care obtained. - 1990: Persons with at least one reported foot problem during the past 12 months, who still have the problem, who considered getting professional care for the problem, who got medical care for the foot problems in the past 12 months, and whose health insurance will pay for any part of the care.
