Description

For sample adults ages 18 and older who ate carrots or mixed vegetables containing carrots in the past year, CARVEGOSIZ reports the size of the portion consumed (small, medium, or large). A medium portion was defined as ½ cup. Researchers may wish to use CARVEGOSIZ in conjunction with CARVEGONO, which reports the number of units of carrots or mixed vegetables containing carrots consumed and CARVEGOTP, which reports the corresponding time period.

Comparability

Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
