Description

For sample adults who had played baseball in the past 2 weeks (EXBASEB), EXBASEBBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while playing baseball.

After determining that a respondent played in baseball, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play baseball?" (EXBASEBNO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend (playing) baseball each time?" (EXBASEBMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXBASEBBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you play baseball? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
