Description
For male sample adults aged 40 years and older who ever had a PSA test (PSAEV), PSAMOS is a recoded variable that reports the number of months since the respondent's last PSA test.
The survey layout document for 2000 and 2003 states, "This is a recode for months since the last PSA test. This recode also utilizes the interview date, which is not available for public-use analysis. If the month/year were provided, the date of the last PSA test was set to the 15th of that month. If the year (but not month) was provided, the date of the last PSA test was set to June 30th of that year."
