Description

For sample adults and sample children who have used firearms in the past 12 months (2023: GUNUSEYR, 2007: GUNFIREXYR), HRFRPROT reports how often the person wore ear protection (ear plugs or ear muffs) when shooting firearms. In 2007, this question was asked to sample adults only.

Comparability

  • 2007: Sample adults age 18+ who have used firearms in the past 12 months (GUNFIREXYR).
  • 2023: Sample adults age 18+ and sample children age 6-17 who have used firearms in the past 12 months (GUNUSEYR).
