Description

For sample adults who have been bothered by ringing, roaring, or buzzing in their ears or head in the past 12 months (TINYR), TINLONG reports how long the noise had bothered the respondent.

 

Interviewers asked, "How long have you been bothered by this ringing, roaring, or buzzing in your ears or head?"

The length of time was divided into 7 time categories:

  • less than 3 months
  • 3 to 11 months
  • 1 to 2 years
  • 3 to 4 years
  • 5 to 9 years
  • 10 to 14 years
  • 15 or more years
