Description

For sample children under age 18, ACNEYR reports responses to the question, "During the past 12 months, has [sample child] had ... Severe acne?"

Two additional variables introduced in 2007 address other skin problems for sample children. In 2007, respondents were also asked if during the past 12 months sample children had warts (WARTSYR) or a skin problem other than eczema, acne, or warts (SKINOTHYR). Information about whether sample children had eczema or any other kind of skin allergy during the past 12 months (SALLERGYR)was collected for 1997 forward.

For 2002 and 2007, SKINPROBYR identifies sample adults who had skin problems during the past 12 months.
