For persons with at least two reported foot problems during the past 12 months, PODPROB2NO indicates the number of time units of the duration of the person's second foot problem. This variable should be used in conjunction with PODPROB2TP, which indicates the time period.
PODPROB2NO is part of the NHIS Podiatry Supplement, introduced in 1990. The purpose of this supplement is to obtain current data concerning problems with the feet, access to foot care, and the amount, frequency, and type of foot care obtained.
