Description
For persons who are related household members of a respondent, who have been laid off or lost a job at least two times during the past 12 months, LAIDOFT2Y reports the year of the second most recent job loss. It should be combined with LAIDOFT2MO (Date of layoff second time ago, past 12 months: Month) for a complete date of the second most recent layoff.
LAIDOFT2Y was part of the health insurance supplement. Persons in families who experienced a lay off were asked about loss of health insurance during the lay-off. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
