Description
For all sample persons in 1979 and 1980, LAGOUTPERQ reports if, due to a disability or health problem, she/he receives or needs help from another person or uses special equipment when going outside.
This variable is part of a series of variables related to the difficulty of doing various activities due to a physical/mental condition, the use of help from others to carry on such activities, and the number of years this difficulty has persisted.
