Description
For all persons, HISPFLAG reports if the respondent provided information about her/his Hispanic origin, or if this information was imputed. Imputations are classified according to the raw data from when the respondent was asked if she/he was of Hispanic origin. Beginning in 2017, NHIS has suppressed imputation flag variables indicating whether an ethnicity or race response was imputed; these variables are no longer available on public use files.
