Description
For persons with at least one private insurance plan, HIP1MDREQ reports that the plan requires members to have primary care doctor or group of doctors for all routine care.
The NHIS provides data for the first two private insurance plans reported. Individuals with more than two private plans have a "2" reported for the variable HIPRIVGT2.
This variable can be used to monitor the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
