Description

FHEADYR identifies sample children age 3 to 17 who had frequent or severe headaches, including migraines, during the past twelve months. The question wording did not specify that the condition had to be diagnosed by a doctor or other health care professional.

Available in 2007 only, HEADACHEYR identifies sample children age 3 to 17 who had recurring headaches, other than migraines.

In 2007, HACHEREGYR identifies sample adults who had regular headaches during the past 12 months. In 1997 forward, MIGRAIN3MO reports whether sample adults had severe headaches or migraines during the past three months.

Universe

  • 1989: Sample persons age 18+ who did not refuse to complete bowel function questions.
  • 1997-2018: Sample children age 3 to 17.
