Description
For sample persons who received eye care at least THREE TIMES in the past year, EYEC3SPEC is a recoded variable that reports the type of health professional the person saw for her/his third to last eye care visit.
This variable is based on the responses to EYEC3HP, which reports the health professional seen on the person's third to last eye care visit (ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and others), and EYEC3MD, which specifies whether any "other" health professional the sample person saw was a medical doctor.
