Description
For sample persons who received eye care at least TWICE in the past year, EYEC2SPEC is a recoded variable that reports the type of health professional the person saw for her/his second to last eye care visit.
This variable is based on the responses to EYEC2HP, which reports the health professional seen on the person's second to last eye care visit (ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and others), and EYEC2MD, which specifies whether any "other" health professional the sample person saw was a medical doctor.
