Description

For all persons who have ever had diabetes or a pre-diabetic condition, DIAHOSPEV reports if the person has ever been hospitalized because of his or her condition. Respondents who were hospitalized at the time a doctor first told them they had diabetes or pre-diabetes (DIAHOSPBC = 2) were instructed to exclude that hospitalization.
