Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least two biological children who have been diagnosed by a doctor with cancer for which the sample person gave a valid cancer code, CH2YOB reports the year the sample person's second child with cancer was born. Please use drop down menus for related variables.
NHIS released versions of this variable for up to five biological children who were ever diagnosed with cancer, but there were no in-universe responses for three, four, or five children with cancer. As such, these variables are not included in IPUMS NHIS.
