Description
For sample adults who ever had a blood stool test (and had one in the past three years for 1987), BSTTYP reports whether the test was during an exam at a doctor's office or the person used a home blood stool test.
Comparability
In 1987, the type of test was reported for persons whose exam was in the past three years; in 1992 BSTTYP was reported for all sample persons who had an exam.
Universe
1987: Half of sample persons age 40+ (excluded from CAEP supplement) who had heard of blood stool test and have had test in the past 3 years.
1998: Sample adults age 40+ who have had a blood stool test.
