For sample adults aged 40 and older who have ever had a home blood stool test (BSTHEV) but did not know the date of their most recent test, or responded in year(s) ago, BSTHLGYRE reports the estimated number of years since their most recent home blood stool test.

Comparability

Apart from minor changes in the universe, this variable has no comparability issues.

Universe

  • 2000; 2003; 2005; 2008: Sample adults age 40+ who ever had home blood stool test and for whom the date of the exam was unknown.
  • 2010; 2013; 2015; 2018: Sample adults 40+ who have had a home blood stool test and REF/DK date of most recent home stool blood test or selected years ago for the time period format.
