Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older who worked last year at a civilian job and who had back pain every day for at least 1 week last year, BPDURTN reports the length of time (in number of days, weeks, months or years) that the person was bothered by his/her back pain.
Users should combine BPDURTN with BPDURTP, which reports the time unit for the number in BPDURTN, in order to get complete information on the length of time that the person was bothered by his/her back pain.
This variable was included in the 1988 Occupational Health supplement.
