Description

For sample adults aged 40 and over who have not been advised to take aspirin everyday (ASPMEDEV), ASPONOWN indicates whether they are taking low-dose aspirin each day, on their own, to prevent or control heart disease.

In 2021, this question was only fielded beginning in quarter 2. Analysts will need to adjust the sampling weight to account for the limited collection period. For an example of how to do this, including sample code, please see the sampling weight adjustment section of the Variance Estimation User Note.

For related variables see ASPMEDEV.
